Steel coil spreader is a hoisting tool specially used for hoisting steel coil, round steel, steel pipe and other cylindrical profiles.
The steel coil spreader is divided into horizontal coil spreader and vertical coil spreader according to the different placement and hoisting directions of the steel coil. Horizontal winding slings mainly include C-type winding slings and electric winding slings.

The steel coil spreader is mainly composed of a hoist and a counterweight iron.
Hoisting details: the main part of the steel coil sling is composed of steel plate (low carbon alloy steel) and steel pipe. The cross section is a box structure, which has good bending and torsion resistance. The sling is light in weight and long in service life.
Counterweight iron: it plays the role of adjusting the balance of the sling, so that the center of gravity of the sling and the object to be hoisted is in the same line.
Routine maintenance of steel coil spreader
1. The used steel coil spreader must be placed on a special shelf, stored in a ventilated, dry and clean plant, and kept by a specially assigned person.
2. The surface of steel coil slings shall be regularly protected against rust and shall not be stored in acid, alkali, salt, chemical gas and humid environment.
3. It is forbidden to store steel coil slings in high temperature area.
4. Clean the rotating parts regularly and apply lubricating oil regularly to prevent dry friction and jamming.
